Anyway... both Skunk2 and GC have similar spring rates. Ive ridden in cars with both and the thing that makes them different in ride comfort and handling were the shocks. Id suggest getting the GC's over the Skunk2's just because I had a friend have problems with his locking collar on his Skunks, he got them when they came out so maybe a bad first batch I dunno. Be sure you get a good pair of shocks to compliment your drop. Id suggest in Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows.

Both are good choices. I used to have Ground Controls and had good experiences with them.

are you sure about those spring rates?

when i was considering a prelude i was going to get either GC or Skunks. all the guys with skunks on po.com said they road very harshly and were more suited for the track. there was a discussion on spring rates and the skunks are higher, whereas the regular GCs are lower. now with GC you can specify custom spring rates if you want a higher rate.

anyways eibach makes GC springs and GC seems to be a better unit, so i would go GC. also i would consider Tein basics or SS coilovers too.

Do u really need the adjustability?? I would suggest just getting lowering springs and u can get the neuspeed koni yellows that have 5 perch positions in .25 increments. I believe coilovers have worst ride/handling than drop springs.

I think you are right about those spring rates. My Skunks are pretty stiff. Ive heard the are slightly stiffer than the GC, but ive heard very good things about the GC too.

If you have the money, go for the real thing, if not, Skunk2s or GC on Koni yellows or Tokico Illuminas should be sweet. You'll love it eother way, my car remains flat on every turn, no matter the speed.

the GC spring rates can vary for your shock. if you buy and request a spring rate matched to your shock you will do better than just grabbing any old set of them.
