I knew there was a reason I didn't buy the long cold air intake and bought the short ram instead.

i was just driving on a road near the lake... it always floods when it rains hard... hit a small pond in the road and started to accelerate after I hit it and the motor just kinda bogged down when I gave it gas... then it just pinged and quit. I tried to start it again and all I can hear is a loud thump from the motor and the starter wont turn it. My air filter was soaked.

The really shitty part is I only have a short ram intake on my car right now... but no passenger side fender liner... I guess I should have replaced that when it got ripped off.

Sorry to hear about that. Good luck with the H22 sawp. One thing I just thought of...Does anyone know how an engine swap affacts oem/aftermarket spring levels and/or damper ability? I don't have a sawp, but that would be interesting to take into account.

I think the general concensous (sp) is that an H22 swap is more financially and mechanically practical. Additionally I believe there is more torque in the H22.

neither one is very financially practical for me.... but I also dont want to just put another f22 in cause it sucks, and this is a good opprotunity.

are you possitive its hydrolock? my bro was submerged in ditch and it didnt hydro lock. he was lucky, he just had to pump the water out by taking out the spark plugs and cranking it...if its hydrolocked there should be oil everywhere and your engine should look like shit... your cam should of popped straight out ur engine if you hydrolocked.

rebuilt it bro, and slap on a turbo kit for it............eh he.........u might be another guy that can squeeze out some 12s with that rebuid f22b1 of yours.........hihi......

I have an h22 swap, but i didn't know jacks about it back then.........but it runs me fine though. I will soon do another swap for my family's other accord. Next summer though. I'm saving up the cash for my girl's ride h: While learning all about it. IT's not that hard, though, at least not hard as dropping an b18C into an CRX. I've learned from watching this guy at my cousin's shop doing it.

btw, i heard that you can find great info at www.h22a.org. They have a guide for it, too bad it's for an LX, not an EX.

But i don't think they're pretty much diff though besides for the VTEC wiring harness, solenoids and stuff.

BTW, I love you car mang......post some pics of it again. Yours, Auxie, and fryd's on 5th gen. h:
