Please help a newby with suspension Mods
I have a 1996 V6 and want to make it ride more like a european car. My first upgrade is to stiffen up the suspension and I don't want to drop it down too much. I also want to keep the cost reasonable. Please help me with some suggestions and your experiences. The guys at a shop near me suggested Tikico performance shocks and sport springs. What do you think?
Really appreciate any input,
Scott

I have Suspension Techniques 1" drop springs, it really dosent sit that low, which I like... the ride is awesome, I seriously wouldnt consider any other springs after owning these... I have them mated to KYB GR2 struts, which are great for me because I dont want or need any adjustability.
The springs were $150 and the struts were about $250 from JC Whitney. So they were pretty economical as well.

i got me some koni. 5way adj. struts, and eibach sport line springs, great drop, and a great ride ... it was around $500 for everything. here are some pics with the drop ..

ppl say that u should drop before getting rims so u don't ride around with gap. Now that i see what a drop looks like on stock rims I think they are full of shit. You did say thats just temporary for the winter right?

at least take off the hubcaps ;o).....I like the Eibach prokits that I have (1.3" drop)....it's not any lower than your average sports car which means it's practical and can be driven just about anywhere as it could before.....no excessive camber problems, and the ride is absolutely amazing. I actually experienced a ride IMPROVEMENT over my worn out springs, so I highly recommend it. Anything to lower the CG is good, but a good quality company like Eibach, Neuspeed, etc that even looks into the spring rates....is what you want for performance handling.

The hubcaps are thowing you off. Hubcaps are evil.
Any Accord will look great lowered on stock alloys, as long as it's not like more than 2.5" or something, but a sport drop will greatly increase the look, stock wheels or larger. With a drop of 2.5" or so, you kinda gotta have the larger wheels to complete the look.My two cents.
