Default Haven't been here for a while But im back.. w/a TURBO D16 :)

Gotta thank Matt for hosting and taking these pics/vid for me. There's a 15 sec vid here too. We didn't push it cuz the neighbors yelled at us the night before for going too fast. "This isn't a race track " :P
Also I turned around the IC, so no more blood red =(
Day 1. Started first try...
So far NO CODES on the AFC hack. have boosted to 1psi only and cant go higher. Trouble shooting is taking place =)

(charge pipe)

(front shot...lookin like shit, just the way i like it no blood red IC tho =()

(gauges and VAFC OHHHHH it's pretty! My view in the cockpit)

(450cc injectors)

(my air filter) (****in works great !)

(resistor box installed zip tied to throttle cable bracket :P )

(return line, 1st ange)

(return line, 2nd angle)

(feed line)

(overall engine bay)

(another shot)

(right side charge pipe)

(MY FIRST VID)!!!!! (it's short) (right click and save PLEASE) (Someone else is hosting )

Well thanks too.
Paul Vang Oil lines, GET UR LINES FROM HIM!!! Great seller!

Havok racing manifold
Matt for hosting, vid, and pics
Dan for vid (which should be up tomorrow) (reason we got yelled at)
Brother giving some compliments
Bseries ACT flywheel soon to be installed

This car Starts, Idles and runs LIKE STOCK!!! it's amazing. It started 1st try!

THe reason i say this...I've only gotten to 1 friggin psi. In first gear I cant get boost! (only taken it to about 5.5 or 6)

Is my piping too long?
Wastegate problem?
MAP problem?
Exhaust housing is a little cracked on the inside i believe but i've had 4 turbos and 3 have had this problem. My other T3 is too. Could this be why???
Vacum line?

I was running RIGHT off the O2 housing. (no downpipe)

My settings are about 33% 1-2.5 and 35 the rest. I even went as high as 40% across!! still no boost and no power up top =(

My low end is great though.

Any thoughts?

Did you check your wastegate, it could be stuck open so you are getting no boost. Everything else looks decent, ditch the lime green paint though

Word, gotta be that, or a vaccum leak on the waste gate actuator. BTW< that off a Merkur? I'm finishing up my project right now too.

Thanks, I found out it's actually that stupid ass rag I used. It was choking the intake on the compressor causing me to lose top end and not build boost.

Several have pointed this out on other boards so im gonna try it out but im 99% sure this is the cause.

If it's not, it's DEF. wastegate.

Thanks guys for the replies! I appreciate it.

Also it's funny you ask about the merkur. The one im using is actually and SVO turbo.

T3 60 trim, .60/.63 A/R

But I bought and still have my Merkur XR4Ti turbo that I was going to use but wanting even bigger yet They're basically identical except the exhaust on the Merkur is .48 which will spool quicker.

Holy crap you got lucky as hell, if you sucked that rag into the turbo you would've been SOL. I assume you mean the intake side of the turbo when you say intake compressor.

I'm using the one from the merkur. What are you doing about the downpipe? I cut and rewelded the exhaust housing. Works fine so far. And if it cracks, no exhaust. Not bad for a track car! But nice work! I'll have pics soon!

Ohh yeah SVO/merkur same thing. For the O2 housing I bought a volvo one(which is straight not angled) and im having a DP welded to that.

With the O2 housing, does the volvo one still have the same waste gate setup? Hell, I might just go get one this weekend if it does!

Where in Wisconsin are you? I might be heading out to Rockfalls on the 11th!
