I've been considering painting my hood for quite some time... it has several chips and nicks due to lots of construction trucks and salt trucks in my area.
But... The look of a CF hood on a black Civic is really starting to grow on me.
They don't chip, right? And it would be pretty much in the same ball park as a paint job, right? :rick: :rick: :rick: :rick: :rick:
cf doesn't chip or nick too much. it can fade though. and it can crack, but you don't have to be overly careful. for some reason, people like to try to slam my hood down and mine hasn't cracked. makes me want to crack some heads though.
If you buy a good carbon fiber hood it should come clear coated already. I have a VIS Grade A and love it, check out Seibon.com, they make really good hoods and the prices aernt to bad.
