VIS has changed the manufacturing of their hoods dramatically. My VIS hood doesn't look like that, at least not on the underside...

:eh: All of you realise the CF vinyl comment was a joke, right?

Blammo, and Bassmint, I see you guys still have washer nozzels... so.. does the hood come with them or do they have to be transplanted?

I wouldn't go cheapo either... I know to avod the knock offs and Ebay when it comes to something like that

And hood pins.. (for added saftey..) easy to instal, yay or nay? Do hoods from VIS or Fiber Image come with them already?

Sorry for the tons of ques.. I just was never really into the CF look until recently so I know zip about it.

i wax mine. :dunno: my hood didn't come with holes for the nozzles, but i didn't want them. usually hoods come with the spots though, and you have to swap them. but the holes aren't always correct. and i've never heard of hoods coming with hood pins. i'd probably go with hood locks over pins, just because i've had people break into my car and actually pop the hood and steal my intake.

Want to get a Fiber Images, but for $589 plus shipping is a little high for me. Everyone else here say's VIS. Any problems with fit, fading, dis-colorization, etc.

I saw VIS for $500 shipped at TIX motorsports ( I think) I'm sure looking around I can find it even a little cheaper.

500 for a Vis is right. I don't like my Fiber Images. I have hood pins but they didn't come w/ it..they had to drill the holes.
