I've always wanted to build a rally Civic. :exnbp:
i cant remember where.. but someon responded to my fast autocross and drag racing thread somewhere saying it was possible with a thoroughly built b18c1 with a good supercharger..
can u guys help me out with possible specifics?
what supercharger? how built of an engine..

if you get shorter gears with the turbo, it will perform fairly well. look at those rally cars.... everyone of those cars are turboed and the gear ratio is short as F***!!!

Mishima: Speaking from experience of owning both a turbo ls and a ek with an itr swap i say go with the itr swap. I hope to finish up my swap today and i am soooo excited. I never felt this way with my old hatch. Sure i will miss the sound of the turbo spooling and the bov, but i cant wait to hear my new engine going through the powerband.
The itr swap is perfect you can build it na and make decent power. With that power you can do well on the road course and still smoke some cars at the drag strip. The hype of my car is great and my friends helping me are more excited than me. Either way you choose i think you will be happy. The itr swap has more options because with turbo ls turning under WOT isnt exactly easy or fun.
i was thinking more along the lines of a b18c1 instead of a type r because i will likely build the engine up... so no point starting with a more expensive engine but thanks for the input
will a supercharged gs-r.. (superchargers have no lag right?) be a good autocross car?
