I'm pretty sure you're right.

The problem is with the offset. There is a caliper clearance issue with some brakes (depending on the specific p# of your calipers--might have to do with which factory made your car or something :dunno: ) But I've heard of people having to modify their calipers (grind off a mm or two) in order to get them to fit.

My Konigs are pretty light (10.8 lbs) I was gonna sell them, but theres one more autocross this season, and I don't want to tear up my only winter tires. They look hot, I think I may keep them. hmmm... :happysad:

:edit: btw, the only time I've heard of somebody breaking their konigs (but boy, were they broken ) involved a 40mph curbing. Of course its gonna break.

15 slipstreams were 13.5

16's were 14-14.5

the c8's were 11.5 for 15's

To me, when you get a light wheel, it's best to get a high quality durable wheel.

Ex. I'd rather buy a 15" Volk that weight say- 16.5lbs rather than a Rota 15" that weights like 15lbs.

Never know when the days comes and you don't see that pot-hole or etc...

That sounds scary, grinding calipers...

Well, if you have an aftermarket big brake kit, I guess spacers would be an option... not too thick though...

Not too scary. I had to grind my calipers a bit to get my aftermarket lines to fit... theres plenty of extra material to work with, and its a slow process, so you wont slip and screw up. As for spacers, thats a pretty good idea. Assuming the clearance problem is actually with the offset and not th diameter... I'm not sure tho.

Slipstream's:

15x6.5" - 12.0 lbs
15x7.0" - 13.0 lbs
16x7.0" - 13.5 lbs (one of the lightest non-forged 16" wheels)

Circuit 8's:

15x6.5" - 12.0 lbs
16x7.0" - 16.0 lbs

don't know the weight of the centerline impulses in 15"(i know someone already said this), but the 17's are 11.8lb. Forged 1 piece with a 690kg or so load rating.....sounds like a good wheel
