Default Supercharger Installed

Hey, just got my supercharger installed...Casey at modacar did a fine job as usual. If there's anyone out there debating between turbo and supercharger. Go for the supercharger...I've had both, this bitch moves, right off idle. Oh yeah does anyone want a "Tru Power" alternator pulley? I know it fits the 2000 Civic Ex, not sure what other models are included. Has about 100 miles on it. $15 bucks??? I can't use it...let me know.:gives:

So you'd rather have a JRSC over a turbo for a D16Y8? hmmm ... is Jackson Racing sponsoring you or something?

Default You didn't try Edelbrock's Performer X turbo kit

My 2000 Civic Ex: 177 Hp, 140 ft-lb, CARB approved, 7psi boost all in by 3600 rpm. Come to Torrance and lets go to the dragstrip or a road race course and race for pinkslips. The Edelbrock Turbo kit makes 30hp more than than JRSC advertizes and it is also street legal. The ball-bearing turbo spools-up so fast off the line it is hard to shift fast enough to second gear. It comes intercooled and with a blow-off valve.

I am glad you are pleased with your JRSC installation but I would not trade mt Performer X turbo kit for any blower kit.

People that have turbo's love turbo's.
People with supercharger's love supercharger's.

It's all personal bias. I don't think anyone can claim which one is "better" since it's so subjective.

However, I would take into consideration comments made by those who have run both types of forced induction.

I have a friend who hated turbo's for many reasons, one fact that everyone and their mother has it... well he had a JRSC on his H22 Prelude and he loved it. Said his car was FAST. But now, he sold the SC and got a stage III turbo and he's building that up.

In my opinion, I think both are great. Just that turbo's are far more popular because everyone speaks highly of them, and superchargers are underrated
