So I took my slow ass car to the track
I have a 98 EX coupe with AEM CAI, Apexi WS catback, cheap ass ebay short shifter and nuespeed shift bushings. I took out my spare, but full interior and I still ran on my 17 in rims with kuhmo tires. I have KYB AGX's on thier stiffest settings, and ground control coils.
I thought I ran pretty slow. I got 17.161, 17.587 and 17.099. For what was running with is that ok? This was my first time.
Will I do much better if I run my stock steelies with a low psi?
My 60' were 2.557, 2.532 and 2.428. I spun my tires two times when I launched at 5000rpms, the first time i launched around 3900 or 4000 and the car bogged down a little thats why I upped the rpms for the launch.
Any advice on how I can improve my times with what I have? In time ill be doing more engine work.

When i ran my 93 ex with the stock d16, The best i could do was a 15.9 with cam, i/h/e, clutch. My 60 ft times were in the 2.3 range, even when my car was stock with just an intake i ran a 16.2. If i were you i would go over the ignition, ignition timing, try using the smaller rims too, that will help with getting what little torque that motor has to the ground. Try lightening your car too, when i went i took out all the seats, spare, jack, and ran 1/8 of a tank of 100 octane, dont know if it helped that much, but at least i knew i was doing all i could to run faster.

h: smaller rims will help a little (they'll be lighter too). and you can take out your seats which will help in the weight department.
