Default question on double-clutching

I know what double clutching is, so heres my question...

Why would you double clutch in a honda? That's what synchros are for, so you don't have to... i always thought you would DC if your tranny has no synchros (like a semi)...

to have yourself in the right rpm range when downshifting exiting a turn so as to shift smoothly and be in the torque band.

erm... I thought that was rev-matching. That's a piece of cake. I'm suprised how many of my friends are clueless to this....

agreed.

I rarely downshift without double-clutching.

Reduces weight transfer on the way into a corner.

It isn't just rev matching.
