Default vtec setting?

just got the v-afc installed on my 98 civic ex. we didnt have time to dial it in so the setting are set at 0. what i'm wondering is what is the stock setting for vtec switch over. we set it at 5k. how much can you adjust it safely?. i think i've heard there's a safety issue with oil pressure when settng the vtec to low. so my ?'s are how low can it go safely on a supercharged d16 and what is the stock setting?

thanks in advance

Isn't the stock switch over at 4500rpms? Putting it higher will make the hp graph more bumpy.

so averaging everyones responses were looking at around 5k which sounds about right. does anyone know how much lower we can set the switch over on a daily driver where safetly of the engine is main priority. isnt there an oil pressure issue?

Don't go below 4500rpm ... for me, I wouldn't even go below 5000rpm.

How is a VAFC a waste of money? Care to explain ...

The VAFC is a waste of money on a SOHC VTEC engine cause there's not much more you can get out of it. Plus there's only one lobe which VTEC works off the intake. DOHC VTEC works on both intake and exhaust and get better tuning from a VAFC.
