do u think this is good gas mileage, about 275?
okay i get about 270-280 per tank, i take it pretty much to wear my light comes on but only go a few miles more after that, the majority of these miles are city too. I got i/h/e, the usual, and am riding on 18's. I forget what i use to get just stock and on donuts. Oh yeah car is a 99 ex coupe if that makes a difference. Opinions on this being fair mileage or not, plus can u inlcude how much u get per tank. I kno this has been covered in the past, but i want to know if i'm getting good mileage or not.
sorry if its long.

well that isn't really good gas mileage at all but considering you have 18's it's reasonable. I get aproximately 380 miles per tank outta my 96 dx. Your tank is like 11.9 gallons or something but when I fill up it takes 10.5ish. so you should be able to figure out the gas mileage. my car has 15's so that is the main differance
fill your tank......reset your trip odometer....drive it till its close to empty....write down how many gallons it took to fill it back up....write down your mileage.....divide the miles recorded by the amount of fuel it took to refuel it...end result is your average mpg

You cannot go by how many total miles you do, you gotta do the simple math

Those are city miles too... big diff. I have a 2000 EX... had an exhaust.. Still have intake.. no headers yet... I could push apprx 400 hwy straight through. Haven't done the average that the guys mentioned above
31mpg city driving with DX engine, CX chassis/tranny, 13" steelies, CAI, Exhaust, AC always running. I fill up 9 gallons and go about 280 miles. I wind my car to the red line at least once every time I drive it. That's only because I have to. I just flipped a thousand miles on this engine. So I'd say what you're getting ain't bad.
When you upgrade your intake and exhaust, improving fuel economy is a myth. If more air is flowing, more fuel is burning. But since our cars don't have MAF sensors... It's more likely to make no difference at all.
