Installed injectors HOLY CRAP!
Yes. I'm definitely taking this back to the track to see what my budget swap can do. I can't believe how good it's running now! I mead DaYuM! It has more low-end torque (if that's even possible with a Honda)... much less a D15B7. I have yet to get it over 45mph, and love it already. I can't wait to see what it does merging onto the highway without check engine lights!!!
Thanks to everyone that offered suggestions for the home injector cleaning thread. What I did at home seems to be more than adequate (and free) for my egg of doom. I finally have a trouble-free bucket! (I'm already knocking on wood)

CX tranny. Believe me, it's fun. I only really need 1st, 2nd, and 5th gears. I'd be happy with just a 3-speed. I did this D15B7 swap because the stock motor was shot. It didn't turn out so bad considering how much lighter the CX is than a DX.
My other car runs low 13's, and I plan on breaking it a dozen times trying to make it run 11's, so I didn't need to go nuts upgrading my fuel efficient daily-driver.
Here's my mod list...

On less than a Monster Garage budget, I picked up over 40hp, and shaved over 2 seconds off of the car's 1/4 mile time; that was with the WRONG injectors, running lean, and detonating with no tachometer or clue where the redline was. With the right injectors, I can already tell it's faster, no more o2 code-1 CEL's, and it doesn't idle surge or hesitate anymore.
Not bad for a civic + a weekend + $450. How much is an AEM CAI new? What gains does that offer? PTPTPTPTPT! If you're resourceful, you can swap the whole engine for less than the cost of a cat-back.
My advice: Never buy bolt-ons for a CX. It costs less with bigger gains to swap them with a crappy motor than it does to mod the even-crappier motor they already have.

Sorry MaxBoost. I was mislead into believing that all 92-95 injectors on Hondas were the same. I was using the wrong injectors on my bucket and throwing codes. Finally I narrowed it down to the injectors, cleaned them myself (in a process described with a link in another thread named
"Home Injector Cleaning"). They weren't kosher, cleaning them fixed the last problem with my POS dx swap, and the car turned out better than I thought it would.
theguy387: I have an extra $2300 in it already, and it's broken only 7k after I did that to it. I'm about to drop in a quaife center differential, double synchro 3rd/4th gearset (to match the double synchro 2nd gear), and a top-speed 5th gear. The EVO forks are being updated (I broke a SS 1/2 Lancer Evo IV shift fork) I think it will be around $4000 in the end. I'm also dropping this http://tinyurl.com/junl turbo in with a FMIC and water injection. Worth every penny. I love pissing off V8's with a 2.0L.
heheheh... freakin' turbo costs almost as much as my whole civic did. I still like the civic, but the fact that I put a DX motor in it is taking a toll on my testosterone levels. Pretty soon, I'll be growin boobs.
