I don't understand what "threaded" means.. you mean tight?

You have to get a breaker bar or a nice impact gun to get it off.

If you're just chaning your power steering/alt. belts, you don't have to remove this bolt. What belts are you changing?

I think the correct term in your case would be rounded. That sucks though. Here are a few things you might want to try...

-hammer a tight fitting socket onto the nut/bolt.
-or just cut the nut/bolt off.
-or use a dremel and turn the nut/bolt head into a squarelike shape. Then use a wrench on it.

Good luck.

Again, you don't need to take the crank bolt off. You can change all 3 belts (ps, alt, AC) without taking that pulley off.

The Alternator has 2 bolts that need loosening - the top and the bottom. You don't need to remove these bolts entirely either, just loosen them and the alt. will tilt.

The Power Steering Pump has 3 bolts - 2 that go into it from passenger side to driver side and a wing nut on top for tension adjustment. You need to just loosen the 2 side bolts and then loosen the wing nut on top until the pump is low enough for you to replace the belt.

The AC has a bolt sticking out with a locking nut on it that allows you to remove tension on the belt. Loosen the nut up and then loosen the bolt.

I don't remember which order you need to do this in, but just remember which belt is closest to the engine and the order out.
Remove all of the belts and then replace the furthest one in and so forth.

You need to be a little better with your terminology as it is very hard to help if we don't know what you're talking about.

My opinion is that you pick up a service manual for your car at any local parts store. They have instructions with pictures on how to do these procedures.

hih
