Default Cleaning Filter

Just a quick question for you peeps. I was planning on cleaning my filter on my CAI tomorrow. This will be the first time for cleaning it since just got before the winter last year. According to what I have read on HAN and also a friend I will need to soak the filter in soap and water. Then let dry for about a hour. Then use K&N filter spray on the filter then put it back on.

Just wanted to know if there were any steps I was missing? Also maybe any products you peeps like better then others.:dunno: Thanks again for your help. I lub jOO HAN!

Go get a K&N filter cleaner kit at checker. It has the cleaner, and the oil. So, spray the bitch down with the cleaner, and hose it from the inside-out. That way it pushes all the shit out, instead of deeper into the filter. Do it til you can see light easily through the filter. Then spray it down with the oil. The oil catches all the shit that the filter itself can't.

Make sure it is nice and dry before you oil it up though. Water in your motor would suck...

Cool thanks. I was just planning on putting it in a bucket, but the hose is a great idea.

Perfect where is the nearest Checker or parts store out there? Or will I need to pick the oil and cleaner up here in Bountiful?
