Correct. I need a switch, AND... I found what the other part is called.

ICU: Integrated Control Unit.

This thing is located ??? and also has the...
Bulb Check Circuit
Key Switch Input
Seat Belt Switch Input
Door Switch Input
Beeper Output
Intermittent Wiper On Input
and
Intermittent Wiper Park Control
on it.

I just spent an hour by flashlight with the wrong tools trying to find the thing with the beeping "the key is in the ignition you dumbass" alarm on it. I'm sure that's on the "Integrated Control Unit", because it's "Integrated", but I can't find what's beeping. It sounds as though it's coming from the interior fuse box, but I've unplugged all of the harnesses on it and it kept beeping. There was also a box below it. Unpluged it and it kept beeping. I guess I need to take the dash apart to find it.

I wish I knew where ??? was located. I'm still looking. Does anyone care to save me some trouble looking? It looks like all you need is this box/circuit board on Junction connector C417. Haynes doesn't tell you where C417 is.
I'm guess I'm digging through that 1258 page PDF now...

It IS around the fuse box. In fact, it's on the back of the fuse box. It's not C417, it's C438. This is the thing with the wiper relay on board... I haven't removced mine yet to see if ... aw hell, I'm going out to try. Here's a pic...

Probably either add a relay or swap out the ICU from a car that has the right wipers.

Sorry for the breif reply. I wanted to check it out last night, but after I grabbed a mirror and a flashlight and started to head out, a huge thunderstorm thwarted my efforts. It cleared up sort-of. I'm going to check it out today and know for sure. I'm hoping to just see a socket for a relay. That would be sweet. I brought the flash light and mirror with me, so I'll see at lunch what the deal is with it.

Integrated ain't no joke. This thing is one big black smooth box with 1 electrical connector leading from it. No relay socket. It looks like it's fused to the interior fusebox housing. If I were anyone interested in doing this swap (which, duh... I am), I'd grab that whole fuse holder from the donor car.

I don't want to monkey with mine until I have the part, so it looks like I'll have to learn about it from a junk car. No sense in breaking my only remaining car when the rubber band is holding up okay for now. When I do get the parts, I'll post the pics.

I can't wait to do this, though.
