Did you fix the red-line mark with a sharpie? I did that to my VX cluster, and you can't really tell.

What I find odd is that my red-line and rev-limiter are one and the same. A D15B7 is supposed to red-line at 6800 RPMs, it's 104hp rating is at 6800 rpms, and that's where she starts bouncin' off the rev limiter. It won't let me go 6801. I'm even using the correct P06 ECU, so I'm assuming it's supposed to be like this?

All other cars I've owned have allowed the motor to spin a thousand or so past the red-line before hitting the limiter. Since a DX comes without a tachometer, are the red-line and rev-limiter one and the same? DX owners, care to comment?

VIS hood on a week ago... I can't believe how well it fit. I was having nightmares before I went to pick it up. One of the many converts here... switched to red/clears. Pics of above mentioned stuff are in the 4 door mount up thread.

Sparco pins are in my garage. And thanks to good credit and lots of reading, I am about to embark on my journey into the world of the B18C1.

Speaking of... I'm going to be running a 75 shot... any suggestions on things to help keep my motor healthy and happy? Before it ever gets into the car, the motor is getting Skunk2 springs and valves. I'm torn between Gude cams or Zex... only cuz' of price. How much worse off am I with the Zex or am I worse off? Thoughts... personal experiences... educated guessing?

I believe the redline and limiter are the same.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but not always. I know that OEM tachometers aren't always the most accurate things but sometimes the limiter won't cut fuel or spark until well past the redline.

Drive it stock anyway... it'll still be fun and all racing experience is good, whether you're winning or not. Sooner or later, it's bound to add up. I dropped a full second off my times last time I went to the strip. Wouldn't want to be like one of those WRX horror stories you see every now and then... too much car... not enough driver.

:werd: fuel cut off is past redline, but honda tachs are know to be quite inaccurate in the high rev range. i have an oem tach in my cx, and a ecu that lets me rev to 8500 (stock b16 fuel cut off), but my car indicates 9000 on the tach, and the fuel cutoff still doenst kick in. i dont wanna risk going past 9000 (since its the end of the tach)

Hold on... OEM CX tach? :eh:

That's a paradox. Don't you mean OEM for a LX, VX or Si tach in your CX?
