okay, I get it...engine swapped cars are called hybrid...very confusing...wish it were a real hybrid...in japan that means using two motors, one electric, one petrol, in the same car, to get like 4 times the fuel efficiency with no loss in performance...

How do you drive an EG8 in Tokyo? Is it really an EG8?

Yes, a five speed, four door, right hand drive 1995 model, with 127,000 kilometers on the meter...and one sweet little D15B VTEC. Actually you seem to be a good person to ask...I have been noticing a raspy rattling sound, like a shredded tin can coming from the transmission area...and it is most pronounced when in neutral, but can still be faintly detected when in first gear...it seems to almost disappear when I go into reverse, and can only really be heard when moving in narrow streets...sometimes it just disappears completely, but it seems to be most pronounced after doing high-torque intensive things like going up very steep slopes in first....other than the sound, I can detect no other symptoms...the car runs great...what do you think, is it a sign of bad things to come?
