So you want to shave your side moldings. Ok, well here is what you do to make it last.
Get a strip of sheet metal. Enough for both sides.
Take it to a shop or someplace where you can use a welder and dont have to pay someone. I like using the air force base hobby shop. they have welder machines. anyways. Cut out the sheet of metal to the shape of the hole. Tack weld it over the hole and there you have it. Now, is the touch ups. Keep shaving and trimming until its as flush as you can get it. Make sure its really really flush. After the metal is flush, then you fiberglass over it. Just use layered fiberglass that comes in the rolls or you can use the liquid. Layer it over the metal and keep it smooth with the body. After that, bondo in any other holes or spots you didnt get. Then you are ready to paint. there you have it. That will keep the shave in great condition for alot longer than filling the hole with glass. Hope that helped. It worked for me when I shaved my inner hatch lights and license plate.

seriously I have been on this damned website for over two years. I have paid my dues (not really
)and the people who "try to be smartasses" are just phuckin with each other because we are friends. chill. Why not just bondo the moldings back smooth and have them color matched? bondo can be either very easy to use or hard as hell. if you don't mix it right you can phuck up very easily. same goes for fibreglass.
And since when do type-r have smoother moldings? don't tell me I have another item to have to buy.
