Distributor Rotor
I replaced my distributor rotor, distributor cap, and plugs last week. Since then I have had a problem with my stereo. (See this post)
I did not know that the 96 Civic came with two different distributors, not physically two in the car, but two different types were used in the same year model. I guessed which cap and rotor I needed. The cap was easy to guess since only one of the two had the right bolt pattern. The rotor I guessed on.
Now my question is, obviously different rotors are used on the different distributors, but would one fit the other and vice versa? I just want to make sure I got the right one.
Thanks guys.

Hmm...that's odd, I'd think if your car was running fine that your stereo would still work. You didn't disconnect it from the battery or anything did you?

I disconnected the battery ground wire while installing the new stuff. But it was put back nice and secure afterwards. There's no corrosion or nothing on it.
Anyone got an answer on the rotors?

well if your rotor is causing any RFI then you will need some silicone grease. apply the silicone grease on the inside bottom of your spark plug wire boots, just a thin layer. it helps to cancel out RFI most of the time. but to me it just sounds like a bad ground somewhere in the system.
