stolen motor.
Everyone does bad things so shut the **** up txhatch. I'm 28 years old and have busted my ass to get where I'm at. I've done so bad shit in my life but nothing I regret. I make 50k a year and will be making twice that by the time I'm 35. I do what I gotta do to make sure my kids get every opportunity and so I can do what my parents could not do at my age. What goes around comes around. **** it, buy it. I would have. Hell, I bought my motors off ebay, how do I know one of them is not stolen? I don't.

no offense to anyone in this thread, because the last thing I want to do is make enemies because of my veiws, but seriously.....
Breaking the law is relative. We all do it.
but the thread starter isn't even breaking the law, to some degree. He's purchasing a black market item. While true, it may not be the smartest move, as long as you make the right moves after its all said and done, it really doesn't matter.
don't want to get caught? don't street race, show off, or any of that crap.
I should know, since I 'break the law' on a daily basis. I enjoy listening to a great system while getting down with mary jane. I have been for the past 3 years now. And still, no problems. No wrecks, no arrests. Why? Because I'm smart and I don't fuck up. I stay within the limits of my car and take account for driver errors. And shall the day come, fine, so be it. I'll accept my fate.
if EddieK wants a engine he knows is stolen, I see no problem. But he has to understand it and let it humble him.
I dunno, whatever. Too much personal ethics enovolved in this.

I just find it hard to beleive that any of us in EddieK's position would turn down such an offer.
1) you didn't steal it
2) the deed has been done, and there's little you can do on reversing it
3) if you don't buy it, someone else will

just because those points are there doesn't make it right,
i'm thinking somewhere down the road, it may come back and bite you if you got into an accident or something where they check the salvage and find its a stolen motor. there goes your coverage out the window and in comes some jail time

this is just an example of our society. stolen motors and parts are filling a huge market demand with the honda tuning wave. i know of people that run stolen shit, but i wouldn't. they're making a choice, a choice i'd not want to risk the penalties for. i won't buy a stolen motor and have that possibly f*ck up my future, but those that do it, i'm okay with. and cops here check out imports all the time for illegal stuff (and not at the races or meets, just on the road) i've had lots of shit stolen so i know how much that sucks. you get what you pay for really. i'm not gonna say to buy it or not buy it, it's a matter of weighing the pros and cons.

insurance will pay for it anyway. its a win win situation. the guy who got the engine stolen is probably dropping in a b18c5 right now as we speak.

and im serious, i will shoot you.
Why even ask this question??? We all know (including yourself) that your going to do what you want to do.... nobody is going to convince you otherwise. By getting our approval will that make you feel more comfortable about buying stolen property? Prob not because just the fact you asked the question you already know its wrong... so do what you want to do.
Personally I think your a ****in idiot for even considering it... hate me all you want.
PS. I believe in the statement, "what goes around comes around" because I've seen it happen all to much. So don't come crying to the people on this trhead when your motor gets jacked. Hope this friend is a real good one. Cause you just may be an easy target:fawk:
