I think i will sell it AS IS, and see what I can get.......HOWEVER...

there is one more option that I was offered. A straight up trade for a 93 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, w many many performance upgrades.....it is a 12 sec car, 11's not out of reach, just needs the 550cc injectors installed, and turn the boost up......the car has a HUGE front mount(skyline....HKS) 16 g ported/clipped, all now turbo plumbing, thermal 3", and much....much more, the only downfall to the car is that it is a 2nd gen block, a 7 bolt, so I hear that they are worth less money, and are not as strong as the 1st gen 6 bolts...........dont know if anyone here is familiar with that setup...the only thing the GSX needs is a new paint job, it is mildly keyed...
you can perform a 1st gen head swap and get new bolts for not too much dough... Its a great deal, but if you're looking to move on to family cars after this, its probably not a good idea. DSMs are cool, but theyre definitely money pits. Getting a good paintjob and keeping a heavily modded DSM on the road usually requires a second mortgage.

wow I cant believe people think with the motor swap the car would sell for less. As big as the market is. There is a huge demand for civics with any kinda dohc swaps. I have a buddy that makes a living buying used civics and swapping motors in and then selling for twice what he paid. Look on ebay it happens all the time. I just saw a 96 civic with 125k miles on the chassis and a claimed 34k on the motor sell for 16k just cause it had a B18C5. Its easy bank. Go ahead and do the swap. there are so many idiots willing to buy 10,000 for just a b16A swap thats prolly ur best bet.

again...thanks for all the info......the DSM would end up being traded, just to be sold again......I figured that there would be more interest in that car because of the mods, and power it has, then the civic. The ideal is to get enough money to help me with my 6000.00 96 Avalon that i have my fingertips on..........car is LOADED TO THE GILLS, and my friend(owns a lot) will give it to me for next to nothing.........6k for a 96 that has 70k on the clock.......and is MINT!! i think that is a good idea.......

true, there are plenty of idiots... but that plan usually only works if you live in california or the E. coast. Around here, and most of the country, dumb kids with too much money are harder to come by. Look at Andy's car...a freakin nice hybrid with all the go parts bushings, quick steering rack, B18c, good susp, a little bit of front end damage and he cant even get $5k for it. IMO, i just cant see it being worth the trouble.

You can't really expect the value of the car to increase if you go hybrid... if you want to sell the car... then I suggest leave it as is.
