engine type?

Your totally right - I will replace the gasket and just get this engine running...then look around for an engine a little later to replace the (sucky) stock engine - and no offense at all..I would get blown away by a tricycle with the D15 that I have now!! Hopefully there are some good JDM places in my area...Mesa AZ.

doesn't have to be a jdm place, just a decent shop. most shops can get the engines so that's less work for you.

will probably get a used one- will they have to import you think or do the shops have suppliers that they go to?

There should be an abundance of D16Z6 motors out there depending on where you live. I doubt they'd have to import one. If you find one, tell us how much for parts and labor and we'll tell you if they're trying to screw you. You should try and do it yourself, no?
