Well what other mods do you have? Getting an LSD would throw you into a HARD class.

well I don't know about autocrossing or the classes involved with that, but LSD's are sweet...almost one of those mods everyone should consider so I think of it this way. $300 now to get it with the motor? or $1000 later to get a KAAZ or Quaife or whatever with installation by a tranny expert...

Now, I don't know how good an OEM limited slip is compared to and aftermarket one...but if they are theoretically the same and your just going by price, paying 300 now is the better way to go...

LSD kicks ass. i got the stock LSD but it pulls sooooo hard when i hit vtec and makes my launches much quicker too. never experienced an aftermarket LSD though. but it's definatley worth the 300 bucks. as for auto cross if they don't ask don't tell

yeah, much better traction dude...they also rock for accelerating out of corners and stuff...hence autocrossing...

People will notice. Especially when you take a turn and your inside wheel is not spinning, plus when changing your tires/torqueing your bolts down the wheels will turn in opposite directions (if I remember right).

Plus it's not sportsman like to cheat. If you have to cheat to win then you shouldn't be competing.

But yes an LSD is worth it if you know how to drive it. Too many people think they know how to drive a FWD LSD car and they don't.

But if you are in lets say STS and you add an LSD you would be in STX which is against turboed, AWD cars with big brakes, racing seats, and motor mounts.
