I think as long as the tip doesn't touch bumper or lip, you are fine.

And as long as the can doens't hit the gas tank, you are also good to go.

I had to bend my hangers down when I had the 5Zigen, but with the WS, I bent it back up... it hit the tank a little, but after a few weeks it sagged a little I guess and it's fine.

The smell is normal and should go away, as with any new exhaust, there's some kind of anti-rust coating inside to preserve the muffler when it's stocked in warehouses... also, the exhaust will get quieter as well in time.

is your exhaust pipe hitting right at the top of the curve over your rear control arm? is so just take the hanger and stick it like as high up as u can right were its hitting. as far as how to bend the hangers.....i doubt they are that strong of steel. if i remember correctly its maybe about 1/4 inch dowel. take a pair of lockin pliers and use your strength. thats the only way i can really think of. be cautious tho bc u dont want to bend it like straight down bc then the hangers that actually hold the exhaust on could slip off easier. good luck gettin it better.

the tip doesn't touch the lip and it's not the hanger that is causing the problem.. but more of the two flanges. as for the smell... i've been reving in vtec zone today to and from work so the smell actually started to die down.

the pipe is clear from the tank. just the flanges after the lca that is stuck right on the tank. i'll try and play with the hangers and see if that would help.

thanks for the pic avijiggybear.

also... have you guys noticed that there are two hanger dowels on the B pipe after the cat? it seems that all aftermarket JDM brand has it. my friend at honda in japan told me that the civics there has an extra hanger dowels on the other side, whereas for our cars, we only have one on one side. my friend and i tried lifting the unsupported side up and found that it actually will provide more clearance space for the two flanges that is causing me problems. so since i don't have a welding thingy.. i am thinking of fabbing an hanger there using some nut and bolt. either that or i am thinking of using some steel coat hangers to hook up the support. i'll let u guys know how it went after this weekend. but in the meantime keep the ideas coming.
