In VA, it's illegal to remove the front liscense plate. I just relocated mine to the bottom because my bumper liscense plate holes are messed up.

In NY you gotta have the front Plate. It sucks but iam not about to take it off and get bothered over it.

in cali, you can get a no front plate ticket while parked. you can get pulled over for no front plate too. its not worth the $20+ ticket. stop light photo is rarely used anymore in cali, except for west LA and SD

Here in Colorado, the photo-radar speeding ticket is $40. The no front plate ticket is $18. So its in my financial best interest to not have the plate visible. I leave it on the passenger side floor, so that if I get pulled over for no front plate, I can tell the officer: "The bolts fell out, and I'm planning on going to the dealership for new ones this afternoon, sir." Then I get a warning, or at worst, an $18 ticket, which is better than a $40 ticket.:thumbup:

thats what my friend was thinking. he went 4 years w/o getting a front plate ticket, then got 3 no plate tickets in one month

It's actually a $100 ticket in CA for no front plates now

Our bill to kill that law failed to pass a few months ago. Gov't still wants us to wear front plates... I think I'll pull mine today.

It has to be attached to the front bumper in MD. I got a warning for having it in my windshield.
