in cali, you can get a no front plate ticket while parked. you can get pulled over for no front plate too. its not worth the $20+ ticket. stop light photo is rarely used anymore in cali, except for west LA and SD
Here in Colorado, the photo-radar speeding ticket is $40. The no front plate ticket is $18. So its in my financial best interest to not have the plate visible. I leave it on the passenger side floor, so that if I get pulled over for no front plate, I can tell the officer: "The bolts fell out, and I'm planning on going to the dealership for new ones this afternoon, sir." Then I get a warning, or at worst, an $18 ticket, which is better than a $40 ticket.:thumbup:
