Default Question about camber

Im recieving a set of H&R race springs on monday, and was wondering if the camber will be off a lot. If so what camber kits are worth buying, or i was reading some other posts where people were talking about a "washer trick" and was wondering what that was?

ok .. yes your camber will be off but you did not say what drop the spring was..ex..1 inch, 1.8 inch, 2 inch.. also the washer trick works in the back just need the washers and a longer bolt..... i would get the style camber kit that adjust on the upper control arm they seem to be the nicest.. what ever you do be sure to get the car aligned after you drop it..

you MUST have a camber kit (at least for the front), no matter how little you drop your car. The rear isn't quite as critical b/c it's tolerance for negative camber is a little more. I've got an Ingall's front camber kit on mine. The 1-2 degree correction kit should do fine w/ a drop of under 2".

Save yourself the time, trouble, and avoid the problem of a car that can't be aligned all together by going ahead and doing this. trust me, i tried to cheat by not doing this on only a 1.75" drop and the car skated all over the road and an alignment was impossible- some bozo at Goodyear tried to tell me I had to get a "custom shop" to "bend the control arms because they don't make camber kits for Hondas" what a dumbass....

honestly you don't ALWAYS need a camber kit. Hondas are weird compared to most vehicles off the assy. line. Some need a kit with only 1" drop, some don't need one even at 3"!!
best thing to do is, drop it, then do the alignment. if you can't get it in spec. then aquire a kit. In the time it takes to arrive, and install, you won't do any noticeable damage to your tires. (unless yer driving across country or something)

i agree, i've been way over due on a tire rotation but just checked and mine are still wearing pretty good after about 15-20,000 mileson new tires, mine is lowered 1.75 with neuspeed springs with very little camber prob. but i installed same springs on a friends accord and even after i installed a ingalls camber kit, adjusted all the way out (3 degrees) and it still eats tires, go figure.

mine is still out but i think wheel size has a lot to do with it i had 17's on the car and it ate tires in like 2000 miles put on the 15 inchers and 4000 miles still looks good

ive got a camber kit on my crx with 15 inch tires and its dropped about 2.5 inches with 205 tires and my camber is still off, tires burn out in the middle very quickly, but then again maybe my camber kit just sucks oh well, yah washers only work on rear end but normally arent even necessary.
