I wish I had the JDM audio console....:sad:

(I know it was a USDM option blah blah blah just easier this way)

that lower din unit comes in all 96-98s thats where the OEM cd player would reside....

usually, its just a slot down there. After my last cd player was jacked, I said fawk it and put it out of sight

only negative is my cupholders are pretty much useless h:

actually, its unplugged. So techniclly, no, it doesn't serve a porpose, other than to keep a big hole from being in my dash.

however, it kinda has a porpose.... People look in, and see that sitting there especially at night time, when its dark+my tint.

besides, its much harder to steal my HU now. Up top, its kinda difficult to get it bolted down. Most people (including myself h: ) just kinda leave it loose.

down below, there's like 6 screws just to gain access. On top of that, I have the HU screwed in, so its not going anywhere without at least 20 minutes of work and thats if you know the thing. Throw nighttime and no lights (assuming the pull the battery cable), and pretty much no worry about my cd player missing

I got the stock HU in my lower console like that. How did u go about installing your new HU down there? Does your radio still light up and keep time?

That sounds like it would fit like shit...It's got an odd shaped face, how would you get it to fit down there without sticking out an inch?
