Default Would this be ghey?????

I want to get a set of all clear tail lights, and paint the top half red like the 99-01 civic tails, (i think that's the right year??) I know you can buy half red half clear, but i want to paint the top, i have never seen it done before.

I know all/most of you guys on here are all bout oem/jdm style. But give an honest answer do you think it would look cool/better then the other half red/clears???

It's been done, and there is nothing wrong with it, it's just that the problem with painted taillights is that they fade over time.

Plus a cop that sees your clear reflectors on your tails (as opposed to the stock red) might pull you over.

Gay, I don't know. But if you have a 5th gen Civic... your brake lights are on the bottom, hence red on the bottom...

It is quite common when the clear taillight trend started to fade out.

as randomtask says....the paint fades over time and starts to look cheesy.

Just switch the outer brake and blinker and unhook the inner brakelight ..

huviduc has a set of red/clears that doesn't need painting. He bought it like that. Plus the red is on the bottom. EG wants the red to be on top, similar to the 99-00 tails.

Had altezzas on my ride. Now that they are gay and everyone here has them, I took them off.

Had a set of all clears in the closet. Got some of that red taillight paint and painted the bottom. Have a 5th gen. civic. The only thing i have a complaint about is, with it painted, the light is blocked by the paint and gives a ghost like glow to the upper clear section . I need someone with a digital camera so i can share my ride with everyone. later
