Default Painting my trim!

im gonna paint my trim pieces. ie:stock sideskirts,mirrors doorhandles,and front lip and wing. Any suggestions on how this should be done for the best possable results?????? i dont have much paint experience!!!!!anyone have any bad things happen to emm while doing this? thanks 4 your time oh yea its a eg hatchie!!!:thumbup:

if you are going to paint your trim plz keep it the same color as the rest of the car, dont make the mistake and mess up your car

oh yea its gonna be the same as the whole car! any prepping advise?

if you mess up its not a big deal, just get some 800+ grit wet sand paper, and sand down what you fawked up, then clean it off again, then start the painting process again.

fawk that. you dont need flex, paint/clear is pretty flexable.

should i use it just incase? how much extra would it be?


and how much paint/clear do you think im gonna need to do wing,lips front and back,sides skirts, mirrors and door handles??? thanks!:thumbup:

aight cool, you should only use a quart, runs for about $20 for ppg paint. with clear use about the same thing b/c with a quart of clear, and you mix it 1/1 or even 1/2 with the hardener depending on which brand you go with, the clear should have a kit, ie, clear, hardener, and reducer.

wetsand everything down first with a light grit paper and just skuff it up a bit so the paint will stick, and what i said about if you mess up, it doesnt apply here since you are doing it with a spray gun.
