Almost everything for the CRX is cheaper... You can even pick up B16A motors for them (the first generation OBD-0 motor) for less than $700, where one of the newer OBD-1 or OBD-2 motors can be up to 2-3 times that. CRXs are cheaper and easier to build... by alot.

I would still rather have a Sol though.

Good luck with whatever you decide!!!!

if street racing, I wouldn still go del sol. Just drop a b16c or h22 in it and you will have a newer looking and just a little bit slower than a crx with the same engine

I'd get a Del Slow, "Del Sol" cause I just like the look of a fixed up one and if you know what you're doing, you can make them pretty quick. I'd buy one as a second car over a CRX

buy a VTEC del sol, then you don't have to swap in a b16a

Fom what I know of a B16 swap is just as easy in both cars.
i don't know what part of the state you live in...but i see plenty of del sols. lots more crx's but a fair share of del sols. imo del sols look much better than crx's..

Do you want looks, do you want speed, or do you want both.

Looks, Sol hands down, (nothing beats a targa top, nothing)

Speed, Rex (cause it's so damn light)

Both, I'd have to say sol

it may not be fast enough, but who cares, you're not gonna be able to beat the whole damn world anyways (even if you did have a rex), so why not have some cool looks along w/the speed. (targa top and a fast car.....Priceless)

(own a sol by the way)

It's completely a matter of taste and need... I had all summer to find one or the other, I found several worthy CRXs, but I held out for my Del Sol... I agree with RacinSkittle, nothing nothing beats a targa top. I have always thought the CRX looked a little crude, with all the hard angels, the strange abrupt end of the hatch, etc.... the Del Sol, to me, is a much better looking machine. But you just can't beat the weight reduction of the CRX if you're going performance-only. I'd still vote Del Sol, though... you'll turn more heads, if that matters. I'm more than happy with mine.
