99 DX Civic HB, B16A swap HELP!!!
We are installing a B16A into a 99 DX Civic HB. The car was orig. a non vtec. We have the ecu, DelSol harness, eng. and trans. The prob. is that we can not find any info on the wiring and any other prob. that we will encounter. There is alot of info for the early civics but not the OBDll civics any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wel it depends on what OBD the motor is and how complete the wiring harness will be. You may have to run a vtec pressure sensor or solenoid wire. A knock sensor wire will proly be need to run also. A little more detailed info would be nice too, not just" wire my car via internet please? oh and what tx hatch really means is, welcome to HAN
The car is a OBDll and so is the eng/trans. We are looking for tech info on this swap. We have a harness from the B16A minus the portion that goes through the fire wall. The civic harness is compleat. The civic harness does not fit any of the componets on the B16A and the B16A harness does not attach to the cars wiring. Is there a wiring kit avaliable for this swap, or is there a prefered way to make the wiring work. this would be easy if I had a harness that had the ecu plug attached. Well thanks for any info you can give me. Dan........
P/S I found the cordless phone in the trunk....

You will need an uncut wiring harness with injector clips if you dont want to ghetto rig the piece. I have a Civic Type R complete harness with clips and ECU plugs at my shop. If you want to do it the right way, this is what you should use. I will sell it for $175 shipped, or you can go to Honda and pay $500 for the whole thing. Let me know, if you buy it from me, I could walk you through the whole swapIf you ghetto rig the thing, it's gonna be a lot harder to work with.
We have an ecu, would you be willing to sell just the harness? I am not going to hack this job, that is why the car was brougt to us. My prob. was that I assumed that this was a common swap(thinking of 95 and older). After taking the job I found out that the common swap for this civic is a B18 or B20. I talked to the owner of the car and he said he has to much money into the project to start over, but wishes he had done more investigating. So hear we are. Thanks for your reply. Dan............
Use your EK harness and change the plugs to the B16. Does the EK harness plug into your ECM? What year is stamped on the head of the B16? You'll need wiring diagrams for your civic and for the B16. It's pretty straight forward. You will definitely have to hard wire vtec sol, vtec pres, and knock though. It's a piece of cake, don't worry.
