how do you all think a B18C1 with JRSC w/upgrade, crane cams, DCSports header, 2.5" Custom-bent exhaust, etc... etc...
Here is what i came up with, and is my plan:
1. B18C1 - 170HP
2. JRSC - 70HP (GSR owner's dyno)
3. JRSC Pulley Upgrade - 15-20%HP (JRSC Claim)
4. DCSports Header - 10HP
5. Custom bent 2.5" exhaust - 10HP
6. Crane Cams - 10HP (estimate)
7. AEM Cam Gears + Power Pulleys - 15HP
8. Venom 400 PCM - 25%HP
9. Nology Capacitor Wires - 5%HP

Adding up all the HP numbers given (285), then adding in the HP percentages (45-50%) and you get 128-142HP gains. This is 413-427HP. These numbers will obviously be from the crank, if indeed they are true. This is all based on the Manufacturers Claims, and would never be possible without VERY PRECISE dyno tuning. This does seem like it isn't possible, but these are the numbers. The only thing that I have found so far that proves this wrong was in one place where I read that the JRSC is only capable of supporting 350HP. If know this should probably be in a new thread, or maybe in the GSR forum, but since this is the general subject here, it seems fine. I would love it if someone could back this up or just have proof to slam it, becuase it seems unreal to me too, but numbers dont lie. Thanks. And did i mention... this would have NO TURBO LAG!?!

that all sounds good but i would suggest a 3 inch exhaust and a kamikaze header i run dc sport but i am not fi the kamikaze has bigger tubing and a bigger colector for better flow.. remember the faster the air goes in the faster it needs to come out

Unfortunately, modifications do not have a cumulative effect. The highest I've seen a B18C1 with a JRSC dyno at is 230 whp. Good number but you're not going to get much higher than that.

The problem with the JRSC is it's not intercooled. If you try to run a lot of boost the compressor heats up the charge air so much that you loose efficiency beyond about 9 psi. That plus it heat soaks pretty quickly. It's fine for doing a couple 1/4 mile runs but in stop-and-go traffic or on a road course you'll be making much less than the observed 230 whp.

Water injection is not a substitute for an intercooler, it is a method of reducing detonation.

I'm running...nothing.

I had a '92 GSR but I sold it because I'm a poor college kid. I'm now enjoying the benefits of being debt free.

Long live the 92 GSR! I had one from last January to May - and right when I had it all built up, an old lady killed it by running an intersection, bending the frame all to hell and screwing up everything else. They only made, what, 500 GSRs in '92 - the very first year. Man, I loved that car with a passion. It's where I first developed my love for the Honda engine - that B-series exhaust tone was so damned *sweet*...
