not startign an argumnent, but you should refrain from making gross generalizations abotu people you don't know... SURE all the highschool kids that are there watching in moms taurus will scatter.. but we don't have people like that at our races... 75% of the people at our street races are adults, and we finaly recently had our FIRST accident.. and NO one scattered... the guy had 5 pt harness on and of course the car had a cage.. and his injuries were minimal... we rolled the car off to the side and got his friend out with the flat bed, and took him and his car home.. NO problems... so yeah i AGREE WITH YOU in SOME situations street racing is a ****ing circuss... but you know what weve had this conversation a million times... you should come down JUST ONE night.. hell you are close enough.. to see what REALLY goes on down here.. i bet youd be surprised... adn to the kid with the 240.. i see you live in south jersey like me.. we should set up a race.. im slow... but id still give it a try.. my cars almost completely stock.. let me know

if there were jail time and impound here i MIGHT not street race, BUT there is not.. the ABSOLUTE worse you can get is a ticket.. ive been blocked in by the police on several ocasions and have NEVER recieved a racing ticket.. so lets just say the system is slightly relaxed here, i think it has to do with the people involved, and where it is.. the police normaly just break it up..... its not like we race in front of grade schools at like 2pm... we race at like 2am... on LONG straight roads that cut through state forrest... i have YET to see a passer by at ANY of these races...

I was waiting for someone to post that. No offense but give me a ****ing break. It's dangerous and stupid and is for morons. But, I don't think it'll go away because people don't think it'll happen to them. There have been a lot of senseless deaths due to street racing – something that doesn't have to happen.

Death or injury is a risk you take when you sit in that drivers seat and take off, it is amplified when you decided race...to some, it's worth it..to others it's not, like my boy oc_civic I am one of those some. There is nothing like racing down a lonely moon lit road in the wee hours of the morning with one of your buddies. It's a RUSH!

On the other hand you have these dumb ass rice boys who think it is cool to race down a four lane road in traffic..these are the people that give us the bad name. Yes, you..that right you..yeah, you know who I am talking too.

Well, at least you try to go to an out of the way location. It's a circular debate, and it's been going on since the dawn of the automobile.

Just keep it safe.

Yes yes we've been through this many times. You live in one state where there are 49 other states. I'm generalizing because you are not all there is to street racing. I condone it but I cannot stop you from making your decisions.

My objectives is to prevent others from thinking street racing is fun and legal. If it was legal than why don't you go rob banks and shoplift at stores? What makes street racing so much better and more legal than lets say murder? They are illegal.

You will learn as you get older (maybe later than sooner) that it's just not worth the headache of doing illegal things. Or maybe you don't care. That's your perogative.

We are allowed to disagree. You have your opinions, and I have mine. You don't have to agree with my opinions, and you with mine.

It is illegal to go 26 mph in a 25 but I bet you do at least 30 .. Its illegal to pass on the right but i am sure you have passed a car from the right of them.... its illegal to have sex in anything but the missionary posistion in some states , there are lots of silly laws doesnt make them right- **** slavery was legal at one point i guess that made it right and something everyone should have abided by... to answer the original ? take out the extra weight on the civic (back seats, spare tire, sub box, jack etc..) and use oc civics tips lower pressure (20lbs should be fine even 24lbs)jump on him (you chase you race ) if you are ahead hit the hazards and shut down early >> the mistubishi is a mega turd alot heavier than the other 2 cars and the motor blows >> the GS might be a good race if he revs high, can drive and takes off some weight too >> And theres a big difference between the kiddies who cause accidents and the adults who have fun > and I would never ever leave a friend if there was an accident, I am certified in first aid and CPR and my cars quicker than an ambulance, and if you are running with people that would leave - you should find some new friends >>

Don't be a wise ass.

There's a difference between an illegal passing on the right (which is legal in PA not legal in NJ) and running a redlight.
