Yes accidents can happen on a closed course, but you have emergency personnel ready to help you within a couple of minutes, whereas on the street everyone scatters and no one will try to help - as they will be afraid of being caught themselves.
not startign an argumnent, but you should refrain from making gross generalizations abotu people you don't know... SURE all the highschool kids that are there watching in moms taurus will scatter.. but we don't have people like that at our races... 75% of the people at our street races are adults, and we finaly recently had our FIRST accident.. and NO one scattered... the guy had 5 pt harness on and of course the car had a cage.. and his injuries were minimal... we rolled the car off to the side and got his friend out with the flat bed, and took him and his car home.. NO problems... so yeah i AGREE WITH YOU in SOME situations street racing is a ****ing circuss... but you know what weve had this conversation a million times... you should come down JUST ONE night.. hell you are close enough.. to see what REALLY goes on down here.. i bet youd be surprised... adn to the kid with the 240.. i see you live in south jersey like me.. we should set up a race.. im slow... but id still give it a try.. my cars almost completely stock.. let me know
