i just use the stock jack until i can fit my hydraulic underneath. neither of my cars can come close a ramp. when i get my car serviced, i need to make sure my car can fit onto the shop's lift. the lifts @ goudy honda in alhambra, ca are nearly flush with the ground. they get alotta business from ppl with lowered cars.

i kno theres a company out there that makes a nearly flat jack, (about 1" tall) that's operated with a power drill or air rachet. i forgot who makes it tho.... its made specifically for cars with low ground clearance

I usually take my bumper off and jack from the front lifting point. I'm usually too lazy to dig my stock jack out of the trunk, plus it's a bitch cranking it. I also have a 2x12 that I used to drive onto, but I got too lazy to lay it down every time. Plus it only takes like 30 sec to get my bumper off.

This jack is awesome. It's light and slides under my car with no 2x4s. My friend has this. It totally portable, unlike the Craftsman jack which weighs about 2 tons This jack is also rebuildable unlike the Craftsman. And mine is starting to see it's last leg after 7 years.

I have a Craftsman 2 ton jack and I sometimes have to drive up on 2x4s to get the jack underneath.

I have a massive Craftsman 3 Ton Jack, I have to take the plate off the end of it, Jack my car up and then stick a stand under, lower the jack and put the plate back on, then go back and jack it up the rest of the way. However the ability to jack the car up almost 2 feet is awesome for working under it.

For real. I'm sure it's cast iron and probably weighs more than 100lbs. I hate carrying it outside.
