i think mine goes to 7800 doesnt it? i dunno, i usually go over redline cuz the peak is right there before the rev limiter.

Actually, the stock tach is wayyyyyyy off. What you think you're at is not it at all. My stock tach went to 7400 in 1st gear. My Apexi VAFC tells me it's 6900 (so does my GSR cluster.) Other gears are 7200, I think.

I take mine to 7500-7600 now though.

What I'm trying to say is that stock tach's are almost always off in the high rpm range.

so when its says its at 7400 its only at 6900...so taking it up to the rev limiter is gonna make it at 7400?

is the rev limiter triggered by the tach impulse? or is it on its own math?

To be quite honest, I'm confused myself. I always thought it was 7200rpm for my D16; however, in first gear and neutral it bounces off the revlimiter at 69XXrpm (according to my VAFC.) I was 'told' that it was this way in 1st gear ...

The world may never know. I know for sure our redline is 7200rpm, but does that mean a revlimiter of slightly more than that? I know for sure that my car never reached 7000rpm (in 1st and neutaral) with the EX ecu.
