Suspension setup civic
Tein High Tech or Eibach Pro Kits!
I'm also looking to get new shocks/springs. I bought the car used with Skunk2 Coilovers and blown OEM shocks. I bounce all over the place, the camber is jacked up, my wheels jerk when I hit bumps etc etc. I just drive the car daily and want something with a fairly smooth ride that handles better than stock. I was originally going to just go with some Tokico blue shocks but nobody around me wants to mess with coilovers and I don't want something that will keep me working on my car just to find the right camber and alignment. With this in mind I changed my mind to Tokico HP shocks and Springs. I figured this will be more expensive because I'll have to pay a shop to do this installation and alignment, but once it's done it should just be done right? Any suggestions or is this the way to go for me? It's looking like this will cost just under $400 shipped plus labor.
Go with tein. Ive used their suspension on 3 builds, and will be using the "Basic Dampers" on my current budget EK build.
The first car I owned was a 98 Prelude, saved for 3 years to buy a new first car! I had used the SS kit and I loved it, best set-up I think for the money! Have used the tein S-techs for a WRX and my last ride-06 Civic Si.
I highly recommend Tein products

I wouldn't say Tein is shit... its far from it. Theres a reason it dominates most of the Japanese market. Their basic coilover kit will cost about the same as the gc/koni setup you speak of... maybe even cheaper. However I do agree that the GC/Koni setup is a really good bang-for-the-buck.
a side note, i just got my koni/gc setup in the mail yesterday, gonna put it in tonight :-D i'll post back feedback once it's installed.
btw, does the gc sleeve really rest directly on that tiny c clip around the koni strut? yikes that makes me nervous :-(
