actually it's 14.1
I read it in SCC. It's kind of odd though, it put down like 223 whp and 250 torque to the ground but somehow it only ran a 14.1. I'm guessing it either had some serious traction problems or it just weighs a lot?

It is a neon, but it's a fast neon. If the prototype is accurate of the real deal than that means it's quicker than an Integra Type R, RSX-S, Civic SI, Prelude Vtec, V-6 Altima, V-6 Accord, Grand Prix GTP and right on the heels of S2000, 350Z, Mustang GT, Maxima, and Subaru WRX. Plus it does have that 7year warranty. And Dodge was made more turbo factory cars than any manufacturer I can think of.
P.S. I'm not going to get one.

actually the VQ35 altimas and VQ35 maximas are equally fast. They are supposidly rated different in flywheel hp but all the alty and maxima ppl that dynoed got the same numbers. Actually it would rip the mustang GT and WRX a new one, it would be a good race for a s2k and the 350z like you said though.
SpeedracerEX-R....the neon and 350Z aren't really competitors. I mean...2 door RWD vs 4 door FWD, the market isn't really the same so i don't think nissan really has to worry, besides a lot of people buy the 350 for the Z name.

it broke down halfway down the track:fawk:
SCC said that the dyno numbers would most likely show up on the production model.
And to whoever said they weren't impressed with Neons at the autocross – Neons are one of the best autocross and road race cars! If you go to an SCCA road race, there are a ton of Neons. The ACR Neons come from the factory with Konis and they handle awesome. While I'm not about to rush out and buy one, they're going to be fast. I think Honda is going to be left in the dust unless they bring over the Type R.
The turbo-four cylinder market is really heating up. MAZDASPEED Protege, Neon SRT-4, WRX, VW Golf 1.8T, and apparently, (according to www.autoweek.com), Ford is putting a turbo on the Focus. Honda has never offered a turbo from the factory (they haven't had to), so I think it's time the Type R Civic came over.
