You'll want something that can be easily tuned since you'll be using a Crower Stage 2 cam. A p28 with an obd2a<->obd1 conversion harness or even a p06 will work.

If he's going to stay naturally aspirated, stock rods with ARP bolts will be fine.

Heh. I was going to mention that, but I didn't want to start another damped vs. solid crank pulley debate.

there is nothing to debate, one is wrong and one is right. h:

as soon as I saw the build I assumed turbo, cause I forget people are willing to put that amount of build time into an N/A D series h:

Haha. Don't worry, I'm with you.

Also, I forgot something else important. If you're going to use a d16y8 oil pump, you should look into porting it. The d16y8's are known to have oiling issues. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the write-up on Endyn's website right now.

a p06 only if it's been converted to a p28. he's running a y8, vtec. no point in having a vtec head if your ecu doesn't control it.

other than that, yes convert to obd1, run a p28 and get a tune!

can't you just put CROME on the p06 and run it just like a p28
