i have an EG and about ready to do the rear disc conversion too. Do you also need e brake cables off of a car that came with rear discs?

yup, you'll need ebrake cables from a rear disk car (99-00si, 94-00integra) others might work but those are commonly known

which chassis are you on right now? i might be able to recommend some cheaper, just as effective upgrades.

93 DX coupe. Nothing spectacular on suspension mods. I'm actually in the market for new coilovers, but when i get the cash together, I'm turning to the doood for that.

I would like something a little better than the stockies. Maybe something from a GSR or 99-00 Si or something. Nothing to elaborate. Just something slightly better than what I'm running now.

I've also heard people say if you swap to rear disc you also have to change out your brake booster, master cylinder and calipers to Integra parts. Is this correct?
Can't I use my existing parts and the calipers that already come wit the conversion??

After I have made the purchase is there any maintenance I need to do with the conversion before installing?? Like new rotors, etc....

Thanks for the help
To add what's already been recommended to you. You can also use the 40/40 valve from a 91-non ABS integra and that will fit right in as well, w/o bending any lines.

When I did my conversion, I did change the master cylinder, as the extra volume alows for more brake fluid and will make sure you don't have to press the brake pedal all the way down for normal braking. The others that've done this, know what I mean.

i swapped mine about a year ago. one thing to watch out for when swapping...

if you get rear trailing arms from an older integra, the cables won't line up properly (too much slack) , and you'll have to use the larger integra trailing arm bushings (which are a lot easier to replace off the car btw)

the new cables i bought were for a 95 si 47560-SR3-933, 47510-SR3-933

replaced the prop valve off same model 46210-SR3-962 direct fit.

But have not done the master cylinder, and have had NO adverse effects, and pedal does NOT feel soft.

The m/c really doesn't replaced unless you go to a larger set of front calipers. Just change the prop valve to the 40/40.
The SI civic, and Integras have that valve.
The larger m/c for EX civic from around 90 up or preludes will interchange, and some are 7/8 and some are 15/16.
For the EX front disc you need the 7/8 and for the larger caliper Integra, use the 15/16.

i have a 98 ex the master cyclinder is the same as the one that is on the civic si so i was going to leave that the same.

the prop 4040 prop valve has different ways that the hard lines connect do you think that i would be ok with the stock one?

What about the brake lines from the proportioning valve to the rear? Are they supposed to be swapped or are they the same size and only the last 2 feet or whatever is supposed to be swapped? Thanks. I want to do this to my 95 civic dx.
