azenis are not drag radials. in fact they're not a very good drag tire because of their stiff sidewall.

bfg DR's are the best i've tried. my brother's old set of 225/60/14 let his bolt on's gsr run mid 14's.

you sounded a lot like my friend Brad. He was bagging me all week about not having drag radials. He's also got a supercharged grandpa buick that runs twelves.

I'm probably going to do some creative budgeting this week. A little wheel shopping is in order. I'm looking at BFGs. I'm going to look at junkyard rims so the widest I will probably get is 6". I don't think a 225 will work so a 205? I'm wondering what some others are running. I really need to hand that WS6 his ass.

Get slicks. I don't know your setup (do you have a link btw?) but your trap speed shows you have a lot of power. The better you put that power down, the faster you run...period.

Since you are hunting down another set of rims, might as well mount slicks on them. Also, are you using a two step? What engine management?

I'm running crome on a built D. My fuel maps are pretty well set but I'm still on conservative timing since I don't have a knock sensor. I'm using a PIT BCU for my boost control. I was running 10psi in first and second, then reaching over to hit the high button to hit 23psi. The budget is kinda tight right now so BFGs are the most I can afford this season. I may get some slicks over winter and sell the BFGs depending on how I do. I need to do an official build thread so everyone knows what the hell I've been up to.

Goal HP
approx. 300@16psi on 93oct
approx. 400@25psi on E85

conveniently located boost controller

BTW, 108mph is not the time to find out you need a new master cylinder

With MPH like that (considering you had no traction) and slicks, I really don't see why you can't run 12's? Shaving .1 of your 60' is worth .2 at the end of the track. Your MPH will be even higher if you're gripping rather than slipping, and 1.9 60' times are possible if your suspension is up to it.

I fit Nitto 555R 225/50R16's on a 6" rim. 4 of them. As long as you're not auto-xing they should work great. I ran 16lbs in the fronts and 26 lbs in the rears. The whole contact patch hit the ground. EDIT: But my car is 3355lbs with an empty gas tank.

Just my 2¢.

PS: ahhh... those Buick Regal GS's (Grandpa Sport) are fun aren't they? I did some investigative work in one of those... Nobody notices them, nor can they get away if they ever do. Just add a baby seat for extra sleep-factor. Flippin' things are fast, man. & a heckuv a lot of fun, too!

Alright, that makes sense. I would still highly consider slicks. See if you can pick up a slightly used pair for a good price.

That is where I put my boost controller and turbo timer.

I should be able to hit 12s with some DRs. I was just planning on 13s because I figured I'd have traction issues. I just had no idea it would be that bad.

I finally made a build thread https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=278201

hey goat, just as a referance. The wheels & tires that you saw me running on at the meet were HX wheels with BFG's, 225x60x14's.
