Progress report v.2.17.07
Well my little D16 build is under way. I take my sweet time with this stuff and there's snow on the ground anyway so I don't expect to be finished for a couple months. Here is what I've got so far. Just got the block back from being bored, decked, ect. I've dropped the head off for a valve job with the "ultimate valve train" package from KMS. I still want to paint the bay gunmetal and respray the rest of the car. I also want to tuck some of the wires. I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to hide the three plugs for the engine harness on the passengers side. If anyone could give me some ideas or better yet post pics that would be great.
Wiseco pistons and TT rods
aluminum radiator w/slim fan and LSDmotorsports clutch (385tq capacity)
1000cc precision injectors, waaay overkill but a little voice told me to
Falken Hanabis wrapped in Ziex 512s for daily driving so I can finally get rid of those damned 17" rims

lookin good bro, keep up the hard work.
as far as those plugs on the passengers side, the only way your going to really hide those, is to pull them back into the cabin & come out a hole twords the center of the firewall that would be hidden behind the engine.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention. I checked the turbo when I took it off. No shaft play or much oil. And I think the small amount of oil was from when I was running the intake to the valve cover without a catch can. Has about 8-9k on it, looks like I'm one of the lucky ones

it's taking longer than I'd hoped but I'm getting there (very)slowly but surely
here's the head (KMS ultimate valve train package)
block
block almost complete, gonna see how long it takes to blow up the ssautoshit before I get a new mani/turbo :chuckles:
the engine bay is now gunmetal it looks good in person though there are some annoying imperfections
tranny kit + OBX LSD
I still have a lot of wet sanding to do before I can finish the black paint. Basically I suck at painting. After that I have to rebuild the tranny. Then put it all back together.
