Default wont start when raining?

Hello,
I have a 97 honda civic dx. since the end of last summer i started to notice that it was having a bit of trouble when there was a lot of precipitation. Now this summer, it has got progressively worse. When I finally do get it started, it may stutter a bit but after about 10 minutes its back to normal. If anybody knows how to go about fixing this problem, please let me know. Its my baby...
thanks!

you're probably not getting enough fuel to the engine. Try replacing the fuel filter, its only like 6 bucks and its part of routine maintenance. Also you might want to get some fuel system cleaner. If youre still having trouble, you might have a problem with your fuel-pump. In that case get the fuel pressure checked.

If that may be the problem, then how come it only happens when it rains, wouldnt it be a problem all of the time if my fuel filter was bad? my car starts up fine when its sunny

possibly your main relay under your drivers side dash.. next time you start to have this problem.. look under there for a little brown box.. wack it a couple times and then if it starts right up.. replace the thing.

either bad distributor cap or wires are shot

check for any arcing on the wires, it may have a hole in them causing them to short when wet. cap may be getting condensation up underneath

when was the last time you did a full tune up? thats the very first place i'd start... replace cap, rotor, wires, plugs
