prelude motor will be less expensive than a K-series. But I think you need a the wiring harness, new motor mounts, and maybe the tranny for starters.
Postive side your car is older than 95 so you can throw your cat out and run a race header straight to your straight line exhaust.
On the negative if you get pulled you'll likely to get ticketed for speed, noise and emissions.

If you got some time and don't mind reading, use the search feature and look around for the types of swaps you had in mind. They've all been covered many times and you can probably find all you need without having to wait on questions. Although if you do get stumped on something, there's always someone here to help.
thanks guys...i was leaning more towards the h22a anyways..i know it would probally be easier to just get a prelude with a h22 but i really love my civic and the swap engine from hmotorsonline is still cheaper then the turbo kit i was looking at for the 1.6 plus it comes as a complete change over kit...i should be making decent power versus the turboed 1.6 and can farther with the 2.2 also...but thanks much and i hope everything goes well...i will keep you updated on the civic news
