This may seem unlikely but I'm not 100% convinced that it isn't the battery. Did they test it before you purchased it?
A while back I didn't find out a battery that I purchased had lost it's charge sitting on the shelf (presumably b/c not as many small cars w/ small batteries in my area) until after it was in the car
If I remember correctly, the car turned on and all that but wouldn't turn over. A second battery, that was checked first of course, solved the problem.
i took the original battery to autozone and they threw it on the charger for an hour. i came back and it was still very low so i just bought the new one. after i put that one in i got power back but still no start.

does it click or just nothing....if you have a set of jumper cables you can jumper the starter...if it cranks the engine than you know its a fuse/relay ...if it doesnt than you know you have a bad starter.......use your head :fawk:

I had the same situation that you had with the cranking but no start, I replaced the coil in the dizzy and it did the trick. Are you getting spark?

UPDATE!!

finally go the damn thing started. turns out it was the ignition fuse under the hood. since i didnt have a spare fuse at the time i took the one from the option position since they're both 50a. that started it up instantly. i go buy a new fuse to replace the one i took off the option but now with that fuse in i can roll down the windows but i get no start. if i take it out i can start the car but the windows wont roll down. :wtf: :madr:
