when you replace the tach...where is the temp gauge????? If you get a whole ex cluster, you will have the temp/fuel and tach. just throw away the ex speedo and keep your dx one. that way you can keep the original mileage and be all legal.

see photo above (top of page)

like mary j said....no mo drama in my life. I just keep a louder tone at work. some people think you need to scream to get what you want.

notice on the picture above that the ex temp/fuel gauge is one circle. on a dx, the temp is separate from the fuel(temp on a dx is where tach is in the ex and si). when you put in the tach from an ex into a dx, it replaces the fuel, so you have to use the ex temp/fuel gauge as well. I assume you want to keep it stock looking, so get a whole gauge pod from an ex and use the tach and fuel/temp, but keep your dx speedo.

are the fuel/temp guages still accurate on the EX cluster once installed in the DX?

also, is it just a matter of plugging the cluster into the existing harness? or is there extra wiring required (besides swapping in the DX speedo)?

also, how far off would you say the EX tach is? what about an LX tach? tia.

the fuel temp should be accurate, just relocated. the sensors are still hooked up and monitored from elsewhere. the gauges are still just monitors, not controllers.

it should be fairly simple, but the tach uses one wire that should already be there in the dx. just one more hookup to the harness.

again, the tach should be accurate, just a monitor.

Yeah did the swap but with a VX cluster i just swaped the speedo and plug all the wires in. 3 different plugs 3 different hole each can only go into thier respective holes. Its Easy, just be careful, there is a screw behind the Hazards button.
