i did a 6th gen ex in my dx and it works fine. the only problem is it is not completely accurate, but who sits there and stares at their tach while they are driving anyway...... mostly you go by feel.

what do u mean?? do u mean that it'll not work correctly??i mean doesn't the rpm tach go correct??and the ex engine isn't like the dx engine...so is the redline the same??i mean the LX have the same engine and the redline is 6800rpm...but on the EX...how much?

YOU CAN USE YOUR SPEEDO FROM YOUR DX, BUT YOU HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR TACH AND FUEL/TEMP GAUGE. THE TACH IS DRAWN ON A CERTAIN RATIO TO MATCH THE EX ENGINE (AS IS THE SI TO THE SI ENGINE). IT WORKS PROPERLY, BUT ISN'T 100% ACCURATE.....SIMILAR TO HOW YOUR SPEEDO WORKS WHEN YOU GET BIGGER RIMS THAN STOCK. THE ORIGINAL SPEEDO GAUGE IS BUILT TO WORK WITH STOCK EQUIPMENT. WHEN YOU CHANGE THE STOCK STUFF, THE GAUGES WILL BE CLOSE ENOUGH. I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN A FRIEND AND I WENT ON A ROAD TRIP. HIS ODOMETER READ 325 MILES BEFORE WE FILLED UP, BUT MINE ONLY READ 309. I FOLLOWED HIM AND WE FILLED UP AT THE SAME STATIONS BOTH TIMES. MINE READ LESS BECAUSE I HAD BIGGER RIMS.

THE REDLINE STILL READS 6800, BUT IF YOU ACTUALLY GET TO REDLINE ON THE EX GAUGE, IT IS SCREAMING!!
