all the harnesses are the same. the wires there, the cluster just doesn't have anything for the wire to do, so it just sits there. it's simply Plug&Play

i did a 6th gen ex in my dx and it works fine. the only problem is it is not completely accurate, but who sits there and stares at their tach while they are driving anyway...... mostly you go by feel.

YOU CAN USE YOUR SPEEDO FROM YOUR DX, BUT YOU HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR TACH AND FUEL/TEMP GAUGE. THE TACH IS DRAWN ON A CERTAIN RATIO TO MATCH THE EX ENGINE (AS IS THE SI TO THE SI ENGINE). IT WORKS PROPERLY, BUT ISN'T 100% ACCURATE.....SIMILAR TO HOW YOUR SPEEDO WORKS WHEN YOU GET BIGGER RIMS THAN STOCK. THE ORIGINAL SPEEDO GAUGE IS BUILT TO WORK WITH STOCK EQUIPMENT. WHEN YOU CHANGE THE STOCK STUFF, THE GAUGES WILL BE CLOSE ENOUGH. I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN A FRIEND AND I WENT ON A ROAD TRIP. HIS ODOMETER READ 325 MILES BEFORE WE FILLED UP, BUT MINE ONLY READ 309. I FOLLOWED HIM AND WE FILLED UP AT THE SAME STATIONS BOTH TIMES. MINE READ LESS BECAUSE I HAD BIGGER RIMS.
