yup, as long as it's for the same MODEL YEAR, then it'll work. looks like you have a 5th gen so you'll want to find a gauge cluster from a 5th gen Si or EX (i think vx had a tach also)

check ebay, the 5th gen ex clusters usually go for about 50 bucks.

Plug and play. Plus if you want to keep the milage of your original speedo/odometer, there are two screws in the back that hold that center gauge in place. So just put in your old odometer in the new cluster with the tach and you're set. Just don't break the cowl in the process of switching gauges.

I don't know about 5th gens, but in the 6th, a cluster from an Lx is the best to swap into a Dx, because they have the exact same engine, so the redline on the tach will be the same. If you put an ex cluster in, the ex's redline is higher..and if you're not paying attention, you might over rev

I could actually get you the vti one for relatively cheap I believe. It may take a while to get though. and by cheap I mean by jdm standards.

ok i am interested in replacing my 94 civic dx instument panel to have the tach also. Few questions. is it just plug and plug. I mean is my dx model already wired for a tach. Or do i have to wire it for a tach. if so, explain this. Thanx

all the harnesses are the same. the wires there, the cluster just doesn't have anything for the wire to do, so it just sits there. it's simply Plug&Play
